Being the Best Version of Ourselves

Just go to any gossip website and you'll see stories about this or that celebrity's plastic surgery and whether or not it's a step or two (or three or four) too far. In real life, these are questions patients and their medical professionals have to answer for themselves. However, whether a patient receives a facelift in Beverly Hills or a tummy tuck in Redondo Beach, the idea should, at least, always be the same.

At We Know Beauty, we are clear that, while making our patients look as aesthetically pleasing as possible is our goal, beauty is really about revealing the potential of all of us. The best plastic surgeons in the universe can't turn, say, Steve Buscemi of "Boardwalk Empire" into a George Clooney. They can (and for all we know, actually have) help each to remain the charismatic figures they both are.

If you look at the people on any of the many plastic surgery before and after on our website, you'll see that they represent a pretty broad range of humanity. They are not all what we'd call ideals of traditional beauty. The secret, as always, is to keep expectations realistic and to bring out the best in us.

Service and Results are Top-Rate at We Know Beauty

We Know Beauty was established as a luxury-oriented plastic surgery office. From providing a surgical concierge to every patient to staffing the best plastic surgeons in the region, every aspect of the business is designed to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

This dedication to luxury starts as soon as a patient is set up with their surgical concierge at We Know Beauty. This person is always on hand to answer any questions the patient may have and to take care of any details that come up. All post-operative accommodations and transportation needs are handled with grace and respect for privacy. Plus, every patient will get their own personalized recovery kit from their surgical concierge, which will allow the patient to recover with as little stress as possible.

Of course, none of this would matter if We Know Beauty's doctors didn't get results. The top plastic surgeons here are leaders in the industry and have the track record (before/after photos, testimonials, accreditations, etc.) to prove it. They're experts in even the most delicate procedures (like revision plastic surgery) and stay versed on the most cutting-edge techniques (such as gummy bear breast implants).

"Natural" and "Good" -- There's a Difference

A New York 1 blog post about so-called natural beauty products got us thinking. In the piece by writer Jill Urban she tells us:
From parabans to sulfates, more and more people are looking to steer clear of beauty products that are loaded with chemicals they can hardly pronounce. That's why all-natural ingredients are taking the beauty industry by storm and are offering alternatives with the same results.
Believe us, anyone who has ever performed a facelift in Beverly Hills knows and understands all about the appeal of products that do not appear to be synthetic, since so many of our clients love these kinds of products. We get it. After all, it's only natural to assume that, say, "pure cane sugar" might be healthier than "high fructose corn syrup solids." At the same time, whether or not there is any real difference between these two products, neither of which is healthy, remains a hugely debatable matter.

We think that it's possible the same thing applies to cosmetics. Should being able to pronounce an ingredient make us think it's any better? Nearly everything you buy in a bottle starts out as a "natural" product at some stage of it's creation; even the petroleum-based plastic bottle started out as something that came straight from the earth. Moreover, many "100% natural" products are pretty unhealthy. Many poisons, like cyanide, are completely natural products. (It comes from apricot pits...what could be more natural?!)

At the same time, our work here at We Know Beauty is definitely a matter of helping nature along. After all, the kind of changes that make for great plastic surgery before and after pictures don't make themselves.Yet, the entirely "unnatural" process of surgery can lead to changes that make us not only happier, but healthier -- whether or not you find the name of the surgery easy to pronounce!

If there's some aspect of your appearance you'd like to change, it's only natural to want to consult one of the world's best plastic surgeons through We Know Beauty. For a complimentary consultation, please call our offices today at 310-300-1500.
