Freedom to be Beautiful

Many of us talk a great deal about freedom of religion, freedom of thought and expression, freedom of assembly, and all the other high-minded freedoms we read about it in the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. One freedom that gets a bit less discussion, but which is very near and dear to the hearts of board certified plastic surgeons and their patients, is the freedom to be as beautiful as we can be.

It's safe to say that, here in the United States, this freedom is for the most part fairly safe. Sure, we would like it if there were less snark directed at plastic surgery patients, particularly famous ones. Still, it's a matter of "sticks and stones" and words won't and shouldn't stop anyone from having outstanding plastic surgery before and after results.

Still, there have been times and places where striving to look your best was frowned upon or worse by various governments and powers, particularly if the efforts in question added an element of sex appeal. Just as Big Brother and his anti-sex league from George Orwell's 1984 attempted to take much of the joy out of life, so did some real life totalitarian and theocratic regimes view almost anything personal and inessential to the functioning of their rather drab society, as somehow suspect.

So, perhaps take a moment to appreciate your access to the finest in cosmetics, the best and most original in fashion, and, of course, the work of some of the world's best plastic surgeons here at We Know Beauty. We're happy to help you exercise your right to be beautiful.
