Not 19 Forever, but....

If you're out here in Southern California it's hard to avoid mentions of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and it's impact on all things cultural, including the fashion and beauty scene every time you turn on the TV, radio, or computer. Heck, even our board certified plastic surgeons -- not always the biggest culture vultures at any age -- are aware of it.

Still, since we're talking about four days of mostly very loud music in the baking sun and during some pretty cold nights most years, not to mention relentless partying. That's means we're talking about mostly young people under 30 and maybe under 26 or so. Certainly, the fashion and beauty tips we're seeing on various websites may mostly be aimed at a younger audience who may be more than a few years away from considering who might be the best plastic surgeons for a face lift.

At the same time, just because none of us want to end up the "creepy old guy" (or gal) at the club, we still want to be able to check out our favorite music and look good no matter how old we might be and how relatively settled our life style may become. Also, of course, ideas of what age is, and what's appropriate for certain age groups, is changing to a degree -- even physically.

Just look around you, people look far younger today than prior generation and, for better or worse, they're maturing more slowly. Even as pampered, presumably super health/looks conscious movie stars, it would shock people of prior generations to learn that Julia Roberts is 45, Brad Pitt is less than a year away from his 50th birthday, and that Tobey Maguire is 37 and still looks like he could be playing teenage Spiderman/Peter Parker. Of course, add in the work of top plastic surgeons like our world renown MDs at We Know Beauty and you can shave a few more years off our looks. Really, though, the idea is not so much to deny our age, but to look like the best possible version of ourselves at any age.

Life goes on, and time waits for no man, but as long as we're here on the planet, there's no reason we can't enjoy ourselves as much as possible and look as good as possible. Right?
